The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), also known as the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India (GOI), set up The national Testing Agency (NTA) as an independent, autonomous, and self-sustaining premier testing organization for conducting efficient, honest, and global class tests to assess candidates’ proficiencies for admission to prestigious academic institutions.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST in Offline/Online mode, depending upon the situation, in 13 languages, as an universal entrance test for admission to MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BSMS/BUMS/BHMS and other undergraduate medical courses in approved/recognized Medical/Dental /AYUSH and other College The NEET (UG) 2021 will be administered in the following languages: English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

The NEET (UG) – 2021 results could be used by various Central and State Government agencies in compliance with their own eligibility requirements /applicable rules. The outcome data may also be used for B.Sc. (H) Nursing courses in compliance with their respective eligibility criteria/other norms/applicable regulations/guidelines/rules. The NEET (UG) – 2021 result data might also be used for admissions to BVSc & AH courses at approved Veterinary Colleges under the VCI’s 15% quota. However, in order to receive the aforementioned data of outcomes, the Council must approach the MCC of DGHS, MoHFW.

The NTA’s responsibilities are limited to conducting the entrance examination, declaring the results, and providing category-wise “All India Rank (AIR)”/Merit List to: the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) & Ministry of AYUSH, Govt . of india, for the further action of counselling by: the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) of DGHS for enrollment to MBBS / BDS Courses for the following types of quotas:

• 15% All India Quota seats
• 100% seats of Central Institutions (including 85 percent State Quota seats) of ABVIMS& RML Hospital/VMMC& Safdarjung Hospital/Central Universities (including DU/ BHU/AMU.
• 100% seats of AIIMS/ JIPMER and Deemed Universities
• ESIC (IP quota seats)
• MCC only registers candidates for AFMC and pass the information of registered candidates to AFMC Authorities for admission process; AYUSH Admissions Central Counselling Committee (AACCC) for admission to BAMS/BSMS/BUMS/BHMS under Central Quota Seats; and providing the results to the Counselling Authorities of States/UTs through DGHS (Directorate General of Health Services).
